"It was really interesting to talk to the female role models that were very successful and willing to share any information they had with us. Everyone was very friendly and fun to talk to."
"I loved every moment. Coming in I thought it would be very routine and boring but I loved it so much! I felt like they were all hearing me and wanted to get to know me. I felt empowered with all the amazing and talented women."
"I am a drum major back at my high school and learned a lot of skills that I'm definitely going to take with me next marching season. The Athena Summit has helped me gain experience and left me with more confidence."
"I enjoyed getting to hear everyone's stories and how they got into band. In my band classes at school there's not a lot of girls and we aren't taken very seriously by my peers. Being able to be in a group where there's an understanding of mutual respect is really nice."
"I liked the people and the fact we all loved the same thing. We were all there to not only help each other, but to learn as one."
"I loved getting to meet and make connections with other women in the field. Just being in that atmosphere was really enjoyable for me, I felt genuinely supported and empowered the whole time I was there."
